Appointments (App)
Appointments encourage networking by enabling users to request a reservation with companies or other users and organise 'dates'. This article will explain how to put this into practice.

The home page

To find the appointments feature within the admin panel click on 'Appointments'.
Note: This function is not automatically enabled and can only be activated by our Delivery Consultants, so please give us a call if you are interested in applying this function to your app!

Appointment rooms

For users to begin arranging dates, there needs to be an available meeting point (Known as a room).

Creating rooms:

  1. 1.
    Open the home page.
  2. 2.
    Click on 'Add new room'.

    Complete the fields as described (Fields marked with a * are mandatory).
  4. 4.
    Click on 'Add room'.

Editing and deleting rooms:

You can open a menu for each of your rooms by clicking a green '
' icon. Two of the options are:
  • Edit room details - Takes you to where you can make adjustments similarly to when you're first creating a room.
  • Delete room - Removes the room altogether.

Time slots

For users to reserve a roomfor their date, they also need to reserve a time slot that you need to create for each room. Each roomhas a home page for their time slots:

    Open the appointments home page.
  2. 2.
    Click on your room.

Managing time slots

Creating a time slot

  1. 1.
    Open the time slots home page.
  2. 2.
    Locate the date your room will be available.
  3. 3.
    Click and drag a box over the top of the time you want a time slot to start and end.

Editing a time slot

  1. 1.
    Open the time slots home page.
  2. 2.
    Click on your time slot.

    Complete/edit the fields as necessary.
  4. 4.
    Click on 'Save changes'.
If you have a virtual event; Do not assign owners to the rooms as this will prioritize those rooms and will hinder users from seeing every appointment option which is given.

Deleting a time slot

  1. 1.
    Open the time slots home page.
  2. 2.
    Click on the cross inside the time slot.
Warning: Blank/un-edited time slots do not require confirmation for deletion, so be sure it is definitely the time slot you would like to delete first!

Settings
If required, rooms can easily be duplicated to reflect the real-world setting:

    Click on the green '
    ' next to your room.
  2. 3.
    Select 'Duplicate room'.
For a printable PDF that displays the room attendance:
  1. 2.
    Click on 'Print attendance'.

    Click on 'Click here for a printable PDF' to download it directly to your PC.

Finding the settings:

  1. 1.
    In the Admin Panel, hover over settings.
  2. 2.
    Select 'App settings'.
3. Click on 'Networking bubble' from the left hand menu and scroll down to 'Appointments'.

What settings are there?

There are numerous settings that can be amended for the appointments module. These are:
  • Enable appointments for the event
  • Can attendees subscribe to multiple time slots at a time?
  • How long is one block on the overview? (Refers to the size of the calendar sections on the time slots home page)
  • Can attendees subscribe to both time slots and workshops at the same time?
  • Show personal dates in the general programme?
  • Use free tables if specific reserved tables are full?
  • Can people make appointments with companies?
Reminder: When making any amendments, don't forget to click on 'Save changes'!
