To set up a live stream on a desktop first an account needs to be created on Twitch. Click on 'Sign Up' in the top-right corner and create an account.
Before the live stream can be started encoding software needs to be set up. We recommend downloading Open Broadcaster Software. Useful information on how to use OBS can be found here. Useful information on how to use OBS in combination with Twitch can be found here.
Login on Twitch.
In the top-right corner click on the avatar and select 'Creator Dashboard' from the drop-down menu.
In the creator dashboard on the left side click on 'Preferences' and select 'Channel'.
Copy the 'Primary Stream key'.
Inset the 'Primary Stream key' into the encoder and start streaming. This article explains how to connect the live stream when using OBS.
To find the option to insert the live stream within the admin panel:
In the Admin Panel, hover over settings.
Select 'Virtual event settings'.
3. Click on 'Lobby content' from the left-hand menu.
Select Twitch live stream and copy the Twitch Lobby stream URL into the tab.
Scroll down and click on 'Save changes'.
Your stream will be visible in the lobby.
