▶️Connecting YouTube to OBS (Virtual event)

Output

Once a YouTube live stream has been created the following information is shown, which is needed to connect the stream with OBS.

Title	Explanation
Stream key (paste in encoder)	This is the streaming key that needs to be inserted in the encoder.

In OBS click on 'Settings' in the bottom right corner.

Stream

Select 'Stream' from the menu on the left side and fill in the following information for each tab:

Tab in OBS	Fill in information from YouTube
Service	YouTube / YouTube Gaming
Server	Primary YouTube ingest server
Stream Key	Stream key

Output

Select 'Output' from the menu on the left side and fill in the following information for each tab:

Tab in OBS	Fill in
Output Mode	Simple
Video Bitrate	Enter desired bitrate
Encoder	Software (x264)
Audio Bitrate	Select desire bitrate

Click on 'OK' in the bottom right corner.

Go live

Click on 'Start Streaming' in the bottom right corner to go live.

A preview of the stream will be displayed in YouTube Studio. Hit the 'Go live' button in the top-right corner to start the stream. Insert the live stream in the Let's Get Digital environment.
