RSS Feeds
Add posts from an RSS feed to the event Social Wall or give it a dedicated home in your event's app
What are RSS Feeds?
An RSS feed can be used to transmit news and information related to your event, as well as other relevant topics that visitors may find interesting or useful before, during, and after their trip.
Why add an RSS Feed to your event?
Rather than needing to post all communications from the event team manually to the social wall, using an RSS feed enables dynamic content integration, such as posting news posts from your website to the social wall, which can be read in the app, whilst also linking back to the website to see additional content.
Basic considerations
Any standard RSS feed that abides by the RSS 2.0 standard, with the following required fields, are accepted: <title>, <description>, <pubDate>, <guid>
Additionally, when a <link> is provided, tapping on the post in the app will open the link in an exernal browser.
Images that are inside the post content <media:content>, <enclosure>, or inline <img> are attached to the post. Only one image per post will be displayed.
Setting up the RSS Feed
To begin, in the Admin panel, go to Settings → API & Integrations → Integrations → New Integration → New RSS Feed .

Give the integration a name for easy reference and add the URL that links to the feed that is being added to the platform. Click Save Changes .
Once this done, an additional option appears which can be set to enable or disable the feed. When the feed is active, new posts will be added hourly. Additionally, new posts can be fetched manually at any time by clicking the Import button.

The RSS feeds can be used in two ways:
A dedicated navigation item
Included in the Social Wall
RSS Feed dedicated navigation item
Once an RSS feed has been added, an addition option wil appear in the menu when creating a new navigation item. Under Modules , a new item, News items (via RSS) will appear. This page will show posts and articles from all active RSS feeds.

In the app, the news feed looks similar to the social wall but instead of tapping on the post to expand it, tapping it will take users to the main page of the post, i.e. the full news article or blog page.

On the Social Wall
In addition to the dedicated feed, there is a setting in General Settings -> Integration settings, which when enabled, will also weave these posts into the Social Wall between other comments. Like in the dedicated navigation page, tapping these posts takes the reader to the linked article.
